Scratch Junior – MIT Media Lab
Age: 5 years+
Coding is the new literacy. Using MIT Media Lab Scratch Jr, young children can create their own interactive stories and games. In the process, they learn to solve problems, design projects, and express themselves creatively on the computer.
Designed for curious minds, this course is project based and hands on, giving them an introduction to programming. Children will familiarise themselves with the drag and drop interface.
Each day consists of:
- Hands on blocks based logic building
- iPad based coding
- Certificate at the end of the course
Kids will walk away with:
- Their own interactive stories, animations and games
- A new found love for coding and a passion for technology
- Experience of drag and drop coding
- Basic concepts of programming, loops and sequences
Courses:
- Beginner: 1 month | 8 classes | 1 hour each
- Intermediate: 2 months | 16 classes | 1 hour each
- Advanced: 2 month | 16 classes | 1 hour each
- Practice Sessions: 1 month | 8 classes | 1 hour each
